The Gift of Peace With God
It is not easy to find the perfect gift. However, the gift of peace is something that is universally desired – especially in an age when violence, destruction and war are never far away.

The Gift of Promise
Everyone wants to give good gifts – especially to their children. The gift of promise with God comes through Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
God gifted Simeon with a revelation about the small child that had been brought to the temple in Jerusalem. Mark shares the story of Simeon, who was waiting to see the promise, and understood that Jesus was to bring salvation to all peoples.
The Gift of Reward
A Christmas gift usually comes wrapped with a reward inside. A gift that is then is open and revealed. In fact, at Christmas time, a whole industry has grown up around wrapping gifts in ever more extravagant fashion.
In addition to Simeon, Anna, the prophetess, served daily in the temple. When she saw the child Jesus, she prophesied about Him.
The Gift of Guidance
Wise men arrived from the east, looking for the “One who has been born King of the Jews.” Mark reminds us that the wise men received guidance from God through the star in the east.
The gift of guidance comes through God’s leading. Experiencing the joy of knowing that the Creator of the universe is guiding your steps is life-changing.
